some of our recent adventures....

It has been awhile since my last post....(*cough cough...ok, ok....a very long while...) Things have been quite busy here...and between sickness and finals....and the usual mundane tasks...I have not had a minute to write...So here goes. Not a lot of important things happening really, we all seem to have a sickness rotation. One will get sick, and during their reckovery another one will catch it, and so it goes.....Rajiv has yet to get over his little runny nose, and I feel sorry for him, we went to the doctor on friday and got some meds (which I hate to give him, but want him to get better...so I have no choice) and so we are hoping that improves things....
Other than that we are doing great....doing the usual...this family friday (yes, every friday is family friday...it's a tradition here in the Maka household...) anyhoo...this friday we went to not only the doctor's office, but also to the new IKEA, I managed to snap a few shots...and here are a couple of Rajiv in his "Pod". Enjoy :)

The Sounds of Sunday....

Today was definitely not a typical sunday in the Maka household...first of all, outside is still very much a winter wonderland...as a result, church was delayed...which was fine, we all woke up, started getting ready, and about 30 mins before walking out the door, we realized that we had neglected to set our clocks ahead, thus missing service entirely....

So, we are spending another day at home. Andrew loves playing the guitar, and Rajiv loves "playing" it too....I loved this picture of them, so I decided to post it....

friday....

Today we awoke to ice and snow...the winter weather is hanging on with all its might! We are snowed in...but having fun...it's nice in a way not to really have anything to do!

Things are going well...we recently purchased a car...and took some photos...as you can tell from the pictures, these of course were taken when the weather was warmer....It is amazing what a week can do :)

Today...

Ah, yet another busy day. I woke up to a cold, rainy day.....which was rather depressing considering a couple days before the weather was around 70 or so....I am ready, lets restate that: MORE than ready for the spring weather! I am done with the jackets and boots...and ready to break out the T-shirts and sandals....sunny days please come quickly :)
But, enough of my whining about the climate...in other news...we are doing great. I am still in school, hoping to be done before too long. I go to school from 8am-1pm and then Andrew works from 3pm-2am- so we keep very busy!! Weekends are always the best, we call them our "family days" we just get to spend quality family time, and do fun things together...
Rajiv is growing so much everyday it seems! He is now almost 9 months old, and keeps us busy. He has two teeth which he uses as much as he can, and has most recently discovered how to cause havoc....he gets into everything! (Which is hard to believe considering he can't even walk yet)....but he is alot of fun. His newest game is "pattycake" you start singing and he will clap his hands, he is so proud of himself. He is a happy, yet demanding little man...and a daddy's boy. He has so much of Andrew's personality and his expressions tend to mimic his daddy's.
We love our little guy so very much, and he brings so much joy to our lives. No matter what the weather, he is "our little sunshine..."
